Sparks Street Back in the summer of 1991, just before Junkyard Symphony was created, Jonny O used to busk by himself on Spark Street. This picture was put on the cover of the Ottawa Citizen, with the caption "Jonny O's Junkyard Symphony", thus the birth of the name. The Amazing Lackey joined shortly afterwards. |

The Early Years
This picture, as well as the one up top was taken at the beginning of Junkyard Symphony, when there was only just the street show. In 1999 the Junkyard Jonny shows were formed, and Junkyard Jam a year later. |
| Junkyard Jonny Juggling Demonstrating one of his many talents, Jonny is juggling the very junk he and the Amazing Lackey play on! Taking a look at the setup JYS uses to play on, you can see buckets, a big blue bath tub in the bottom right hand corner and tire rim with a big red strip! Can you spot where the tire rim is? It's right beside the Canadian flag that JYS proudly flys! |

Cornwall Crew Junkyard Symphony performs on the mainstage at L'Ecole Secondaire 'L'Heritage in Cornwall to a fabulous audience in May of 2005. While teenagers can be a difficult crowd, Junkyard Symphony seemed quite comfortable performing for the excited fans at L'Heritage who seemd to be quite amazed by the performance. |

Ice Devil This is a picture of Jonny and Tony on the Winterlude Stage at Jauques Cartier Parc, winter 2005. Jonny is playing with Devil Sticks also known as Rhythm Sticks. Having a beat in the background really gives the sticks greater movement. |

Main Stage The Junkyard Symphony's niche is daytime mainstage performances at outdoor festivals, summer or winter. With microphones on the junk, the crowd can really get into the beat and warm up as in this case. The volunteers on the stage warm up by doing the 'can can'. Winterlude spends two weeks blowing snow to make the giant slides that make Jaques Cartier Parc a huge winter playground. |

The Olsen family would pile into the van and go camping. It had a fridge, a stove, a bed and even a porta potty, and then it had some junk in it too. |

The JYS Van #2 1998-2002. Made in 1988, this van used to be a Bell repair van. It was helpful to have the flashing light on the top when the Junkmobile would drive through crowds at festivals. It was also helpful when JYS had to fix telephones. The ladder carrier was great for holding all their buckets. |
