Junkyard Symphony's Promo Poster: (11 x 17 inches, colour) If you are in need of fine quality posters to promote your Junkyard Symphony event, just let us know. The posters (shown to the left) are 90 cents each plus postage for those who have a signed contract with us. In all other cases they are $2 each plus postage. Each poster has a blank white space on the bottom to include your information. Just let us know how many you would like and we will send you a package in the mail, and add the cost of the posters on to your bill which you pay to us on the day of the performance by cheque or cash payable to "Junkyard Symphony." Charity Shows or Free Shows Junkyard Symphony beleives in making entertainment available to everyone, so we have created 4 price categories in order for organizations from all walks of life to afford our shows. Unfortunatley we cannot afford to play for free or for promotion, so we have created a community rate for those with a small budget. We beleive this rate is extremly reasonable for the quality of show we provide, and is the lowest rate we will charge, so we ask you to please respect our commmunity rate. We thank you for your interest in our company and we wish you best of luck with your event. Payment * Payment is to be made on the day of the performance, (except governments and municipalities...we know they take their time). * 5% GST will be added to the price. * All cheques payable to "Junkyard Symphony" for all shows. No deposit is required. * There may be an additional "load-in" fee of $30 if we are required to set up earlier than necessary, or if your location invloves a difficult load in, i.e. elevator, stairs, long hall ways, series of doors. * Certain hollidays, such as New Years Eve and Canada Day will have a negotiated premium added to the price. Travel * Standard travel fees are $75 per 100km drive from Ottawa, plus accomodations when necessary. *For destinations more than 3 hours drive, we recommend partnering with other organsations for a small 2-3 day tour. This allows the organisations to split the cost of travel and it is not very environmentally friendly for us to drive all that way just for one show. If this is not possible, a premium will be added to single shows that are far away. *Distant locations will require airfare and hotel accomodation. Rain Dates * Sorry, but we cannot make rain date reservations, however performances cancelled due to rain only require half payment. Where possible we will try to wait out the rain if we can, sometimes we have even performed in the rain. It was fun! We recommend securing an indoor alternative. Languages * All shows can be done in French and English. Political Correctness * Being based in Ottawa, we have obviously learned to entertain without offending anybody. No junk was harmed in the making of our equipment. Space Specifications * Small Set- 10 feet deep x 10 feet wide . * Medium Set- 10 feet deep x 15 feet wide. * Large Set- 10 by feet deep x 20 feet wide. * Ceiling height is best at 10 feet or more. * School shows and workshops are best when presented in the gym. * A level performance area is optimum. The type of flooring does not matter much, but a harder surface is better. * For main stage shows, a staircase on the front or sides would help us bring volunteers upon the stage. Set up and Tear Down * Set up time for ground level shows is 30 minutes, but we prefer that the performance area be cleared one hour before the performance so that we may have time to warm up and practice as well. 30 minutes is needed for tear down. * For main stage performaces we can assemble backstage, 30 minutes, but on stage set up can be done in 10 minutes. Tear down can be done in 5 minutes. Particulars * All of Jonny's performances arrive at your event in the awesome Junk Mobile. * All Junkyard Symphony performers have had a Police Check. * All performances do involve 'loud' percussion at times. If this is a problem, we can play with lighter sticks. * Volunteers are never put in dangerous or uncomfortable situations. * All performances ROCK! Sound Requirements * We have our own small sound system suitable for grould level shows, but for main stage shows a larger sound system and sound man is required with 5 standard drum set mics, and 1 vocal mic. Cancellations * Employers who cancel after a 'cut off' date will be required to pay half price. No payment is required for cancelations before the cut off date. Standard cut off date is usually set at one month to two weeks before the event. * If Junkyard Symphony cancels before the cut off date, another show at a later date will be offered at half price. * If Junkyard Symphony cancels after the cut off date, another show at a later date will be offered at qaurter price. CD's Junkyard Symphony's CD "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rock!" can be purchased at any show with a poster for the great price of $5.  |
